Updating your monitor gives you access to the latest features and enhancements and often resolves performance issues. If a newer software version isn't available reinstalling the current version or performing a factory reset can sometimes resolve issues with your monitor.
- Factory Reset – Menu > Info > Restore Factory Default Settings
Update from HQx Live Mobile App
Over the Air (OTA) capability was introduced in software version 1409 for all CSx series monitors. If your monitor has older software you will need to update from USB. Futures updates can then be installed from the app.
- Check your monitor's software version: Menu key > Info (version # is shown on the right)
- 1409 or later – supports OTA, update via USB or app
- 1.xxx versions – old, update via USB
- 2.xx.xx versions – new, supports OTA

Update from USB Thumb Drive
- Download the software: https://support.seesnake.com/csx-series/
- Copy the files onto your thumb drive and install:
- For best results use a new, name brand, thumb drive; faulty or failing drives can cause issues (see below)

- If you use an Apple MAC: Mac OS unzips/extracts the files for you, so just copy the downloaded folders onto your thumb drive
Reinstall (Force Update) from USB Thumb Drive
Force Update is compatible with all CS and CSx series monitors except the CS-1000.
- Follow the steps to update from a USB drive with ONE EXCEPTION: press and hold the Still Photo key for 5 sec while powering on the monitor
