TruSense camera heads can receive firmware updates to enhance features and performance. Updates are included with SeeSnake CSx series monitor updates and install automatically – updating your monitor also updates your camera head.
Camera firmware version 2092 (and higher) reduces the prominence of red that can occur in certain situations.
Compatibility
- All CSx series monitors (including CSx Via) with the latest software.
Update Process
- Check your camera's firmware version and confirm that your monitor detects a TruSense camera
Menu > TruSense > Firmware version- If Camera Type does not say TruSense or if the firmware version isn't shown, perform a factory reset
Menu > Info/About > Restore system settings to default
- If Camera Type does not say TruSense or if the firmware version isn't shown, perform a factory reset
- Update your monitor software (click/tap here for how-to article)
- Connect your equipment, the update begins automatically
- Transferring the update from the monitor to the camera head takes 15 - 20 minutes
- The transfer pauses if the monitor is turned OFF and resumes when it's powered ON
- Some TruSense features (digital self-leveling and TiltSense) may not work while the software is transferring
- After transferring, the update takes effect the next time the system is powered ON
- To view the progress: Menu > TruSense > Firmware Version
