TruSense camera heads can receive firmware updates to enhance features and performance. Updates are included with SeeSnake CSx series monitor updates and install automatically – updating your monitor also updates your camera head.

Camera firmware version 2092 (and higher) reduces the prominence of red that can occur in certain situations.

Compatibility

  • All CSx series monitors (including CSx Via) with the latest software.

Update Process

  1. Check your camera's firmware version and confirm that your monitor detects a TruSense camera
Menu > TruSense > Firmware version
    • If Camera Type does not say TruSense or if the firmware version isn't shown, perform a factory reset
Menu > Info/About > Restore system settings to default
  1. Update your monitor software (click/tap here for how-to article)
  2. Connect your equipment, the update begins automatically
    • Transferring the update from the monitor to the camera head takes 15 - 20 minutes
    • The transfer pauses if the monitor is turned OFF and resumes when it's powered ON
    • Some TruSense features (digital self-leveling and TiltSense) may not work while the software is transferring
    • After transferring, the update takes effect the next time the system is powered ON
    • To view the progress: Menu > TruSense > Firmware  Version
