Update Your Monitor from HQx Live (OTA Updates)

CSx series monitors can receive Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates from the HQx Live mobile app for Android and iOS. Updating your monitor give you access to the latest features and upgrades.

Setup

Monitor

1. Confirm your monitor is OTA capable: Menu > Info > Version 
   • 2.20.06 and later – OTA-capable
   • 1409 - 1463 – OTA-capable
     
   • 1.xxx - 1462 – old, update from USB (after update the monitor will be OTA-capable)

2. Confirm your monitor's Wi-Fi settings:  Menu > Wi-Fi 
   • ON
   • HOST (CLIENT will not work)
   • 5 GHz (2.4 GHz is slower)
3. Update the app:  App store > HQx Live > Update (if needed)
4. Set up HQx Live: Menu > Updates – change Wi-Fi Only to Cell Data/Data Allowed

OTA – Automatic

• When HQx Live is allowed to use mobile data (step 4 above) new updates will download and transfer to your monitor automatically whenever you're connected to it
• Your monitor will ask to install new updates, if you cancel an update your monitor will ask again the next time it's powered ON

OTA – Expedited

To speed up the automatic OTA process:

1. Open HQx Live and connect to your monitor
2. In HQx Live:  Menu > Updates > Tap your monitor name
   • The update will download to the app (green progress bar) and then transfer to the monitor (red progress bar)
   • After transferring the monitor will prompt you to install the update

Troubleshooting

Software transfers slowly or stalls: 

• Confirm the monitor is set to 5 GHz:  Menu > Wi-Fi  (change 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz)
