RIDGID SeeSnake CSx series monitors can receive Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates from the HQx Live app for Android and iOS. Updating your monitor software ensures you always have the latest features and performance enhancements. OTA is supported on all CSx series monitors with software version 2.19.13 or higher:
CS6x, CS6xPak, CS6x Versa, CS12x, CS65x, CS65xr, CSx Via.

Setup

  1. Confirm your monitor is OTA capable: Menu > Info > Version.
    • 2.19.13 or higher: OTA capable.
    • 1.xxx – 1463: not OTA capable, update from USB.
      • Click here for instructions and video.
      • After the update your monitor will be OTA capable.
  1. Check your monitor's Wi-Fi settings: Menu > Wi-Fi.
  2. HQx Live – go to your app store and check for a newer version.
  3. HQx Live – enable automatic updates.
    • Android: Menu > Updates > Automatic Download Options, Data Allowed.
    • iOS: Menu > Updates > Automatic Updates, ON.

Installing Updates

iOS

When the auto update feature is enabled monitor updates are downloaded and installed automatically when the app is connected to the monitor.

  • You can see available updates and view the installation progress in the app:
    Menu > Updates

Android

  1. Open HQx Live and connect to your monitor’s Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Menu > Updates.
  3. If an update is available, tap Download to begin downloading the update to HQx Live.
  4. When the download completes, HQx Live will transfer the new software to your monitor. If the transfer doesn’t begin immediately, tap Update to start the transfer.
  5. The software update will be installed the next time you connect HQx Live to your monitor, or you can tap Update to install the software immediately.

Completing the update

Your monitor will continue using the old software until it’s powered OFF and restarted. An on-screen prompt lets you choose when this happens:

  • Reboot now – immediately cycles the power OFF/ON to load the new software.
  • Later – lets you continue working, the new software will be loaded the next time your monitor is powered ON.
