Monitor Time/Date Issues

Incorrect time/date on inspection jobs could be related to two issues:

Time/date is correct on your monitor but not on jobs imported into the HQ app for Windows.

Monitor loses time/date settings when powered OFF.

  1. Update your monitor to the latest software:

  2. Open the time/date settings and set the Mode to Manual.
  3. Set the time and date and restart your monitor
    1. If the time/date is incorrect, replace the internal coin cell battery (see below).
    2. After replacing the battery, set the date/time mode back to Automatic, which updates the date and time when the monitor connects to the HQx Live mobile app.

Replacing the internal battery on CS and CSx series monitors

RIDGID SeeSnake CS and CSx series monitors use an internal coin cell battery to maintain time and date settings when powered off. The battery can last several years but will eventually need replacement.

  • CS1000 and CS10 – batteries should only be replaced by an authorized service center.
  • All other CS and CSx series monitors – batteries are user-replaceable, however the process is not documented.
    • The coin cell battery is located on the main circuit board and the case must be disassembled to get to it.
    • A properly grounded anti-static wrist strap must be worn to avoid damaging the electronic components.
