The following issues can be caused by a faulty/failing thumb drive:
- Doesn't respond to keypad presses
- "Stuck" in Record mode
- Recording fails/error message
- File system error message
- Shuts off or continuously reboots when you insert a USB thumb drive
A failing drive can often be repaired in Windows, allowing you to copy off jobs. A repaired drive may work for a while but issues will occur with greater frequency. We recommend using high quality drives, keeping a spare with you, and replacing drives when they begin to fail.
