Incorrect Time/Date on Inspection Jobs

Incorrect time/date on inspection jobs could be related to two issues:

Issue 1: Your monitor has "forgotten" the time/date.

To fix:

  1. Update your monitor to the latest software:

  2. Open the time/date settings and set the Mode to Manual
  3. Set the time and date and restart your monitor – if the time/date is incorrect, replace the battery (see below)
  4. After replacing the battery we recommend setting time mode back to Automatic (see below)

Issue 2: The time/date is correct on your monitor but incorrect when jobs are imported into HQ for Windows

Replacing the internal coin cell battery

SeeSnake CS and CSx series monitors use an internal coin cell battery to retain their time and date settings. When the battery becomes discharged the monitor may lose these settings.

NOTE: RIDGID authorized service centers can replace all CS and CSx series monitor batteries. The CS1000 and CS10 batteries are not user-replaceable and should only be replaced by an authorized service center. The batteries on all other CS and CSx series monitors can be replaced by the user, however the process is not documented. The battery is located on the main circuit board and the case must be disassembled to get to it. A properly grounded ESD anti-static wrist strap must be worn to avoid damaging the electronic components.

Automatic Time mode on CSx series monitors

When the Time mode is set to Automatic (the default setting), CSx series monitors will update their time and date settings when connected to the HQx Live mobile app. If the internal battery is dead, the monitor will update to the current time/date and retain these settings until it is powered OFF.

When accurate/consistent time stamps are required check the time/date displayed on the monitor and, if incorrect, connect to HQx Live and let the settings update before starting your inspection. If you connect to HQx Live while an inspection is already in progress, media captured to USB before you connect will have the time/date stored in the monitor and media captured after you connect will have the updated (i.e. correct) time/date.
