SeekTech and NaviTrack Locator Calibration

Created by Guy Smith, Modified on Wed, 29 Apr at 11:58 AM by Guy Smith

Each SeekTech and NaviTrack receiver is calibrated at the time of manufacture. The calibration data is stored in non-volatile memory on the device and does not drift or change with age, temperature, or normal jobsite handling. Recalibration is only necessary after repair or replacement of the circuit board, antennas, or related structural components.

  • Damage to the antenna system (including mast and support brackets) or housing requires factory repair and recalibration, even if the unit powers on and appears to operate normally
  • Physical damage compromises accuracy, and field repairs (tape, glue, substitute hardware) cannot restore it
  • Drops and bumps do not affect calibration unless they cause physical damage
  • Replacing the keypad, LCD screen, or battery (SR-24) does not impact calibration and can be handled by local repair centers
  • Repairs that require recalibration are performed at our factory service center in San Diego, CA, USA. Calibration is included in the repair, using the OEM calibration device. Customers can drop off equipment at a local service center or ship directly to the factory repair center.
