SeekTech and NaviTrack Locator Calibration

Created by Guy Smith, Modified on Wed, 21 Aug at 5:06 PM by Guy Smith

SeekTech and NaviTrack receivers are calibrated during manufacturing and do not require regular recalibration to maintain accuracy.

During the initial calibration, each antenna’s signal response (eight antennas in SeekTech receivers) is measured using our proprietary high-precision calibration device. The resulting response profile is permanently stored in the receiver’s non-volatile memory.

Recalibration is only necessary after repair or replacement of the circuit board or antennas. Here are some key points:

  • Drops or bumps do not affect calibration unless they cause physical damage
  • Replacing the keypad, LCD screen, or battery (SR-24) does not impact calibration and can be handled by independent repair centers
  • All repairs requiring recalibration are performed at the factory service center in San Diego, CA, USA, using the OEM calibration device
