Cloud storage services like Google Drive make it easy to share pipe inspection images and video from the jobsite using the HQx Live app for Android and iOS. Just make a folder, upload anything you want your customers to see – in-pipe video, jobsite photos, summary video – and send them a link to the folder.

Cloud storage is the ideal way to archive your inspections for long-term storage. Want to refer back to a job you did last month? Last year? Last decade? Cloud storage gives you instant access, anytime, anywhere. This article outlines the basic steps – the process is nearly identical for Google Drive, Microsoft One Drive, and Dropbox. The two videos below walk you step-by-step through using Drive and One Drive .

  1. Set up Google Drive
    1. Install the Google Drive app for Android or iOS and either create an account or log in (if you already have a Gmail or YouTube account)
    2. Tap the large + icon and create a new folder for your inspections: “Inspection Jobs”
    3. Create a new folder for each job
  2. Upload inspection media from HQx Live
  3. Share the folder with customers
